18-22/hr M-F Dayshift
This position forms sheet metal using brake press per Mechanical Engineering prints.
Duties and Responsibilities Reads tape measure easily Identifies proper material being used on a prepared parts list
Stores materials in proper storage rack Ensures identification of finished parts
Keeps brake press clean Reads, understands, and interprets parts lists and blueprints/mechanical engineering drawings
Sets up brake press for bending procedures
Forms a piece of metal to the dimensions and angles per Maintains machine and equipment
Assists Department Lead in daily operation of department Initiates Engineering
Change Notices with Lead approval Keeps stainless parts separate from CRS material Qualifications Possession of High School Diploma or GED Task oriented Good math skills with ability to convert decimals to fractions
Demonstrated ability to follow procedures Ability to obtain and use the following tools: combination square, including protractor; calibers tape measure Accuracy in reading a tape measure
Ability to read, understand, and interpret parts list and fill out quality check sheets Ability to read and understand blueprints/mechanical engineering drawings Preferred:
Previous experience programming and running brake press Preferred:
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment Working Conditions Mostly standing work.
Continuously lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs. (Lifting more than 50 lbs overhead must be performed by using mechanical aids; if mechanical aids are not available, the lift will be performed by two employees in a team lift.)
Detailed work with hands; fine work and simple grasping.
Position may involve bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, and kneeling with occasional crawling and twisting.
Periodic travel may be involved. As needed, will work at a desk and a computer screen for extended periods of time.
Must be able to manually enter data to the computer system and understand the screen and images that appear
